St. Leo the Great Preschool
St. Leo the Great Preschool is a Pre-Kindergarten and skill development program that is located in the lower level of our Parish School building. We are fully accredited with the State of Ohio and are licensed and operated under the Ohio Department of Education. We offer 3 and 4 year old classes, full and part-time. The St. Leo Preschool Program integrates everything your little one needs to be prepared for Kindergarten.
To schedule a tour of our Preschool, please call 216-661-2120 or the Rectory Office at 216-661-1006. We accept the County Voucher and you can learn more about the assistance program during your tour. Extended Care will be available from 2:30pm till 6:00pm for an additional charge.
Enrollment:
To be eligible for enrollment for the three-year old preschool class, the child must be three years old by September 30th.
To be eligible for enrollment in the four-year old pre-k class, the child must be four years old by September 30th.
* Children must be completely toilet-trained.
Tuition
All tuition is billed in 9 equal monthly payments
Part Time Classes | 3 Yr Old= $165 Per month | 4 Yr Old = $185 per month
Full Time Classes = $415 per month

Part Time Classes:
3 Year Old Preschool: Tuesday & Thursday 8:00am - 11:00am.
4 Year Old Pre-K: Monday/Wed/Friday - 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.
Full Time Classes:
3 Year Old Preschool & 4 year old Pre-K: Monday through Friday - 8:00 am-2:30 pm.

Registration Fee: $100.00 (non-refundable)

Classes are in session from September through late May. Holidays and vacations follow the St. Leo Elementary School schedule
Daily Schedule: Full-Day Program
8-8:10 a.m. Classroom opens/playtime
8:10-8:25 a.m. Welcoming Circle - calendar, weather, special event discussion, sharing bag, math concepts, Pledge of Allegiance, songs
8:25-8:45 Prayer/Jesus Time
8:45-9:45 a.m. Interest Center Activities: include large motor activity, dramatic play, construction, art expression, language and literacy experiences, science/social studies concepts and child-directed play
9:45-10 a.m. Snack time
10-10:20 a.m. Circle Time: music, rhythms, story
10:20-10:30 a.m. Prepare for outdoor play
10:30-11:15 a.m. Outdoor—large-motor skill development (weather permitting)
11:15-11:30 a.m. Clean-up, prepare for lunch
11:30-12:15 p.m. Lunch and bathroom time
12:15-12:30 p.m. Quiet activity—transition to nap/story
12:30-1:30 p.m. Nap
1:30-1:45 p.m. Interest Center activities (see above)
1:45-2:20 p.m. Circle Time: music, rhythms, story
2:20-2:30 p.m. Prepare for dismissal
* This schedule is flexible and may be changed for special activities. To extend each child’s interests and experiences, field trips are planned and resource people such as Dental Hygienist, Police Officers and Firemen and Fire women are brought into the classroom to share their knowledge.
